Join us as we welcome local author Keith Young as he talks with us about his book Expect Turbulence on Tuesday January 24th at 6:00pm at Titcomb's Bookshop.
ABOUT THE BOOK
Expect Turbulence is the story of setting a goal and overcoming obstacles. A twice over recipient of kidney transplants, Keith Young always dreamt of becoming a pilot. In 2013 he set out to make that dream come true despite concern that his health situation could prevent it. Along the way he will face challenges from finances, his personal life, his career and his health as he attempts to achieve what only a small percentage of the human race have accomplished. As Keith grapples with getting to his personal best, he will be forced to deal with the realities of what it really takes to reach his goal while navigating some of the most difficult tests of his abilities. This is a story of what it takes to go for it when you have responsibilities to family, work, and budget and have to deal with age and health concerns. Keith candidly shares his triumphs and disappointments while placing you in the cockpit and inside his head as he struggles through what is required to become a private pilot.
