Caroline Maguire, M.Ed., ACCG, PCC, author of the groundbreaking book Why Will No One Play With Me? will be joining us for a lively conversation on how parents can help their children strengthen social skills and build upon their social networks. This advice is particularly critical now during the COVID pandemic and hybrid schooling models.
Caroline Maguire founded and facilitates a comprehensive SEL training methodology (#ConnectionMatters) for adults, parents, clinicians and academic professionals on how to develop critical social, emotional and behavioral skills. Why Will No One Play With Me? includes scripts on how to communicate, and ensure, messaging registers with the recipient. Through her private practice, publications, lectures and workshops, her mission is to vanquish the devastating effects of feeling different and misunderstood.
Caroline earned her undergraduate degree from Trinity College, and her Masters of Education and Early Childhood Development from Lesley University, where she spent four years studying the effects of executive function skills training on children with social skills deficits. Formerly, Caroline was the main children and teenager coach, social skills group co-leader, and school consultant at the Hallowell Center in Sudbury, MA.
