We are so happy that C.L. Fornari will join us on Thursday evening, June 13th for a very special event to tell us about and sign copies of her fabulous new gardening book, Sand and Soil: Creating Beautiful Gardens on the Cape and Islands! (The book comes out on May 30)
This is a (free) ticketed event. Click here for tickets.
Having lived on Cape Cod for twenty-five years, avid gardener and respected garden writer C.L. Fornari has a wealth of advice to share, all calibrated to the unique landscape of the Cape and Islands. Clearly the product of extensive research and personal experimentation, Fornari takes us through the many facets of growing a successful garden on the Cape, from soil supplements to weather, vines to shrubs, species of local plants and animals: friends and foes. Brimming with personal hints and resources, this is a must-have guide to gardening on Cape Cod and the islands!
About the Author: C.L. Fornari is a creative gardening expert and self-defined “plant geek” who transitioned from artist to garden communicator in 1995. She is the author of eight books as well as the host of GardenLine, heard on WXTK, and co-host of Plantrama, a podcast produced by Zachos and Fornari. She speaks to audiences at horticultural trade shows, garden clubs, botanical gardens, master gardener symposiums, alumni/women’s groups and neighborhood associations. In addition to speaking, radio, and writing,
C.L. blogs and runs a consultation service for Hyannis Country Garden, an independent garden center on Cape Cod. She grows her multitudes of plants on the aptly-named Poison Ivy Acres on Cape Cod.
