You're invited to a very special luncheon featuring bestselling authors Ann Hood and Michael Ruhlman at the Dan'l Webster Inn in Sandwich on Friday, September 29 at 12:00pm.

Ann and Michael (who were recently married!) will talk about their newest books and it's sure to be a lively, fun and insightful conversation. Ann will talk about Morningstar: Growing Up with Books and her novel, The Book That Matters Most. Michael will talk about Grocery: The Buying and Selling of Food in America and In Short Measures: Three Novellas.
A buffet lunch will be served and will include a vegetarian option.
Books will be available for sale at the bookshop and at the event, and Ann and Michael will sign their books at the event.

Ann Hood: Ann Hood is an American novelist and short story writer; she has also written nonfiction. The author of fourteen novels, three memoirs, a short story collection, a ten book series for middle readers and one young adult novel. Her essays and short stories have appeared in many journals, magazines, and anthologies, including The Paris Review, Ploughshares, and Tin House. Hood is a regular contributor to The New York Times' Op-Ed page, Home Economics column. Her most recent work is "The Book That Matters Most" published with W.W. Norton and Company in early 2016.
She is a faculty member in the MFA in Creative Writing program at The New School in New York City. Hood was born in West Warwick, Rhode Island, and now lives in Providence. Click here to read more about Ann.
Michael Ruhlman: Michael Carl Ruhlman is an American author, home cook and entrepreneur. He has written 21 books of mostly non-fiction, the best known of which have been in collaboration with American chefs. Some of his cookbooks are Ruhlman's Twenty, Charcuterie, How to Saute; Ad Hoc at Home with Thomas Keller, and many more. Click here for his website.
Ruhlman has acted as a judge on the PBS reality show Cooking Under Fire and on The Next Iron Chef. He has also made several appearances in shows hosted by Anthony Bourdain. In Bourdain's A Cook's Tour he joined Bourdain and Eric Ripert for a meal at Thomas Keller's The French Laundry restaurant. In Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations he appeared in five episodes: one devoted to Las Vegas, one devoted to Ruhlman's native Cleveland, one devoted to New York's Hudson Valley, a 2010 holiday special, and one, "Heartland", that highlights lesser-known, restaurants across the country. In 2014 Ruhlman appeared in the Las Vegas episode of Anthony Bourdain Parts Unknown.
